Blog Tour #Review and #Giveaway: Border Lines by LE Fitzpatrick
I don’t know what’s going on lately, but every series I love had brought me new books and they’re just better and better than the one before. You all know I loved The Running Game by LE Fitzpatrick. Well I’ve read Border Lines, and let me tell you, it just gets better and better!
“We all remember that kid in Piccadilly. That determined look he had on his face as he willed all those people to him. Just using his mind he pulled them close then blew them all to pieces. It could be anyone. Your neighbour, your friend, your lover. Remain vigilant. Reachers are everywhere.”
When the perfect job comes up Charlie doesn’t think twice about taking it. This is the break he’s been looking for and nobody, not even the rest of his team, can persuade him otherwise.
The job means working for an old enemy and crossing the border into London. Both are risky but Charlie has no idea how high the stakes really are.
The team will have to confront their past, each other and a killer who is closer than they realise. But can they all make it out of the city alive?
This is the second installment in the Reacher series.
This fresh book in the Reachers series will further take you into the workings of the dystopian universe envisioned by LE Fitzpatrick. Going over the border line separating London and S’Haven, the dirty slums are highlighted by the gaping contrast with London, the safe, oblivious, rich city, splurging without one thought for the people living in poverty outside the wall that keeps reality at bay.
Add a very British serial killer targeting prostitutes, various blasts from the past involving the military, the Institute that experiments on Reachers, and a freaky band of other Reachers whose leader thinks himself judge, jury and executioners, or simply god, and you have yourself a page turner that will keep your running along the border lines, trying to get to the bottom of it all.
Charlie, John, Rachel, and the later addition Roxy, will bring back the team you fell in love with in book one to make sense of this complicated web of seemingly unrelated events and coincidences. Chasing serial killers, trying to get a job they’ve been hired for done, and deal with said past that’s catching up quickly, our heroes have quite a thrilling ride for us.
I absolutely loved how Charlie, John, and Rachel adapted to this new and extended family, and how they later add Roxy to the group. While they all remain strong willed and very different individuals, together they form this hard to grasp harmony that makes everything work. Definitely a must read and we definitely need more of this series!
So hurry up and buy the books now!
