Betrayed by his peers and slandered as a traitor, Commander Thierry Donovan has nothing left. Locked away and targeted by the very men responsible for his incarceration, Thierry defies the odds and fights for the fundamental right to survive the hell-hole of his imprisonment. With no one to trust, Thierry finds solace in the last place he imagines…

The church is Ryan Flynn’s sanctuary. He craves the solitude and peace he finds in the hallowed halls. His oath to serve God is a calling Ryan has hidden behind all of his adult life; until his past catches up with him in the form of his foster brother, Special Agent Orrin Hunt…

Submerging himself within a world of danger, violence and corruption is the only way Orrin can cope with life. Rejected and tormented by the bitter remorse of unrequited love, Orrin is oblivious to the beauty of what life can offer him. If he’d only open his eyes, and maybe his heart….

Broken Oaths Cover

Jaydan Callahan’s life is a wreck. Gangs, drugs and violence are a part of his normal day to day routine. For one so young, he’s seen it, been there, done it and gotten more than enough tee shirts as proof. Capable of smelling a cop from a mile away, it comes as no surprise to Jay when the guy he has the hots for is actually working undercover to bring down the town’s notoriously dangerous king pin.

Four men, four lives, each one of them stained by lies, corruption and doubt. Can love show them the path to redemption, or will broken oaths, fear and grief make the crosses they bear too heavy a mantle to carry.

Love is Love

Guest post

For our next guest post JT and I thought we’d like to share just a few of our favourite Authors and what it is that makes us love them and the story’s they write so much.

V.L.’s List

1 Aleksandr Voinov.

Without question my favourite, and yes it is mostly due to the Special Forces phenomenon, however, I’ve read so many of his wonderful story’s that I can’t honestly say it’s solely down to that one epic tale. If anyone has read the Dark Souls collection they’ll totally understand. Don’t even get me started on Sky bound or the Market Garden series. He is the Jedi master of the literacy world I’d beg anyone to differ, and when he teams up with L.A.Witt it’s akin to an alphabetical explosion of plot bunnies that will keep you coming back time and time again.

2 JT Cheyanne

Biased? Most definitely, however as far as I am concerned JT’s ability to write, far exceeds my own. She’s an intelligent writer who works her magic through the use of words that pull you into the most amazing story lines.  The worlds she creates are as well developed and as beautiful as the characters she manages to create. I love the flawless flow of JT’s writing and always pull an all-nighter when one of my baby’s solo story’s is in my hands <3

3 Nicholas Bella

My name is V.L Moon and I am a Bellaholic…If anyone has read The House of Theoden series or The Demon Gate series you will be grinning and cheering in agreement. What can I say? If you like your gay men to have fangs, breathe fire,  be covered in fur or derive from the fiery pits of hell then this is the author for you. But be warned…Do not expect fluff in any way shape or form. Bella delivers stories in a rough aggressive form of sexual potency that will have you clenching your legs together and taking out shares in Duracell. Hot, gritty and no holds barred, just the way things should be.

4 Alina Popescu

Our own little vampire Alina is the queen of everything and owns the title with pride. And so she should. Alina’s Breaking of Bonds book one and book two Bad Blood are in themselves a thrill to read while taking you on a journey of self-discovery and hope. I loved both books equally and look forward to reading more SETH come November when the third book in the trilogy is set for release. There’s something about the way in which Alina writes that affects you on a personal level. You relate to the characters and find yourself engrossed in them to a point where you’re so involved that you can’t bear to turn the last page.

5 Susan Mac Nicol

Amazing, just amazing. I am in complete awe of how Susan manages to pull off story after story all while holding down not only a job and family but also while working  on Devine magazine and supporting all her lovely author friends as well as the GLBT community. As for her books… I love the way in which Susan captures a story and dresses the nakedness of her characters, whether flawed or not, each of them are worthy of the love you end up feeling for them.

6 Avril Ashton

WOW…Just plain WOW. This lady is just bloody amazing. I have so much respect for this author. She’s amazing to her fans and has this uncanny ability to write the most intense feelings between her characters that she leaves you feeling raw, wrecked and blubbering like a complete idiot. The sexual chemistry is nasty hot, not just written but lived as her characters explode off the page and leap into your heart. To say I love everything Avril writes is an understatement!

7 CJ Bishop

No list would be complete without the queen of angst. CJ brought us the Phoenix boys, and my life was never to be the same. I don’t think my heart has ever recovered. The grip on your soul leaves you struggling to breathe as each story literally rips out your heart. Pain, suffering, love and loyalty are written into the very fabric of each of the boys she writes.

J.T.’s list

This is going to be hard to limit. I have many favorite authors in all types of genres. I have favorites in each genre and favorites across the board. I know I’m not going to be able to include all of them so here are the first ones that come to mind when I think favorite….

1   Voinov – I have to agree with V.L. on this one. I started reading very young and I’m getting *gasp* older now and I have never read a story as compelling or as emotionally gripping as Special Forces. He carries on his brilliance in all of his following stories, but I will forever hold a special place in my soul for Dan and Vadim.

2   V.L. Moon – My list would never be complete without my writing partner. V.L. has a well of imagination and a gift for plot twists that amazes me and challenges me to be a better writer. I am honoured to be her partner and experience the brilliance of her mind first hand. Every time she says, “Do you mind reading this” when she’s writing solo, I’m like a kid at Christmas…beyond excited to open the gift of her talent she is bestowing upon me. I find myself thinking about her WIPs and craving the end of the story. I can’t encourage her to write fast enough. I’m a bit impatient where she’s concerned.

3   Susan Mac Nichol – Again, V.L. and I agree. Susan has a gift of introducing gritty characters that capture your heart and drag you into their lives. Although I devour her works and lay panting with lust and love at the end of each book, my forever favorite is Shane Templar. She’s promised me more of him and she best deliver …hint hint Susan. I haven’t forgotten. As with Dan and Vadim, Shane is lodged quite firmly in my heart. I loved his teasing and light heartedness with Matty, but that one scene…and she knows which one….stole my breath and just made me awwwwwwwww.

4 J.R. Ward – I cannot make a list that does not include Ward. The Black Dagger Brotherhood contains my single most favorite character of all time….Vishous. I found the BDB series at a time in my life that I really needed to escape. Diving into role play and writing various members of the BDB, I met V.L. That in itself is a reason to love Ward; she inadvertently brought me to my HEA. But, her writing in the original six books was phenomenal. She created a world of vampires that took the reading world by storm. I haven’t met anyone who’s read the BDB and not become hooked. The Brothers stomp their way into your hearts and wet dreams with shitkickers and daggers and major hawt sex. I have to say she is the only author I’ve ever paid full hardback cover price for on the day of release. I even made an excuse to leave work to get Rehvenge’s book.

5    Larissa Ione/Kim Harrison/Adrian Phoenix – Okay yeah I cheated. Paranormal is one of my favorite genres. I have several favorites and it’s hard to choose just one. Each of these authors write a series that I will search out when I make a rare trip to the bookstore. They are “shelf-worthy” LOL. I have to have their books on my shelf; an eBook just isn’t good enough. The Demonica series by Ione, The Hollows Series by Harrison and The Maker’s Song series by Phoenix are all dynamic. I hope to match their mastery in creating their worlds and their characters.

6   Alina Popescu – Again, V.L. and I agree however, my favorite of her stories is Strength to Let Go. I met Shiki as a role play character. He’s funny, smart mouthed and totally loveable. I was thrilled to get the first book in his series and I’m anxiously awaiting the second book….why are all of those other books ahead of it?? I need a Shiki fix darlin.

7   And at the last number I just can’t decide. Max Vos, Anne McCaffery, DS Kenn, Orson Scott Card, Gregory Jonathan Scott, Christine Feehan, J.D. Robb, Sarina Bowen, Sara York, J.K. Rowling – Yes I am a Harry Potter fan, the list is endless…..I can’t choose……I suck at lists almost as bad as I do at cooking.

VL…So Rolling my eyes…I said Five!!
